Serving, Not Selling

Blog

As we step into a new year, it’s the perfect time to take a moment and reflect on what kind of mindset you’re bringing with you. In business, we often hear people talk about growth, revenue, and success. But let’s take a deeper look—are you in it to encourage, serve, and inspire others? Or is your mindset solely focused on you, the money you make, and becoming well known?

I get it. Revenue is essential for any business to thrive, and I teach people how to increase their revenue. But I want you to understand something crucial: the mindset of gratitude, care, integrity, and authenticity will carry you further than chasing numbers. When you focus on adding value, putting people first, and genuinely helping others, you don’t need to worry about “commission breath”—the energy that screams you’re just after the sale.

The Power of a Service-Driven Mindset

When your mindset is rooted in service, you naturally attract abundance. Your focus shifts from getting to giving—and that’s where the magic happens. A business built on integrity and authenticity doesn’t just make money—it creates lasting relationships, trust, and real impact.

So, as we kick off this year, ask yourself:

  • Is your mindset aligned with service and value, or is it more about personal gain?
  • Do you truly believe that you can help people?
  • Are you operating from a scarcity mindset, where you fear there won’t be enough for everyone, or from an abundance mentality, where you know that giving will come back to you tenfold?

Shifting to an Abundance Mindset

If you’re not sure where you stand, that’s okay. It’s never too late to shift your thinking. Reflect today on whether you see the world as a place of opportunity or as a space of limitations. When you move from a scarcity mindset—where you feel the need to compete and hoard—to an abundance mindset, you open yourself up to limitless possibilities.

Next Steps: Addressing Your Limiting Beliefs

Once you’ve acknowledged your mindset, it’s time to dig into your limiting beliefs. Ask yourself: What’s holding you back? Do you believe that you can truly make a difference? That you’re worthy of success? Addressing these beliefs will be the key to unlocking your full potential this year.
